The NEXTEL Cup Series has just wrapped up its first first of two practices.
Scott Wimmer led the field in the first practice, followed by Kurt Busch, Matt Kenseth, Carl Edwards and Mike Wallace. Robby Gordon was sixth, with Mark Martin, Kevin Lepage, Sterling Marlin and Greg Biffle rounding out the top ten.
The remaining results are as follows:
11-20: Nemechek, Petty, Kahne, Waltrip, Earnhardt Jr., Kyle Busch, Harvick, Johnson, D. Hamlin (No. 11 FedEx), Stewart.
21-30: Sadler, J. Gordon, Mayfield, Vickers, T. Labonte, Newman, Rudd, Jarrett, R. Wallace, Kirby.
31-40: Blaney, Green, Schrader, Hamilton Jr., J. Burton, Kvapil, Long, Mears, Bliss, McMurray.
41-49: B. Labonte, Riggs, Said,, Jones, Raines, Sacks, McClure, Ash, Anderson.
The Cup Series returns to the track for their final practice at approximately 2:35 CST, following the USAC Silver Crown 25 lap race.
