Danica Patrick on the pole for Sunday

Danica Patrick was second in practice on Saturday, but fastest when it counted the most.  Patrick will sit on the pole for Sunday's Argent Mortgage Indy 300 at the Kansas Speedway.

Starting behind Danica will be Buddy Rice, Vitor Meira, Tomas Scheckter, and Darren Manning.

In the two morning practice sessions, Dario Franchitti recorded the fastest time of the day with his speed of 214.4580 mph.  Patrick was second, followed by Rice, Thomas Enge, and Meira in fifth. 

The remaining order was as follows:  Scott Dixon (6), Tony Kanaan (7), Darren Manning (8), Dan Wheldon (9), Ryan Briscoe (10), Sam Hornish Jr. (11), Scott Sharp (12), Tomas Scheckter (13), Helio Castroneves (14), Kosuke Matsuura (15), Patrick Carpentier (16), Bryan Herta (17), Alex Barron (18), Roger Yasukawa (19), Ed Carpenter (20), Jimmy Kite (21) and AJ Foyt IV (22).
