Starr Still With Red Horse Racing, Team Searching for Sponsors
Nikki Krone · Thursday December 7, 2006
Contrary to reports on SceneDaily.com and other internet sites, at this time, David Starr is still employed by Red Horse Racing and has not been released from the team. The Craftsman Truck Series team, which is co-owned by Jeff Hammond and Tom DeLoach, is currently searching for sponsorship for Starr and their team. If a sponsor is not found, chances are that Starr will not return the No. 11 Toyota Tundra.
Starr took his Toyota to victory lane early in the season at Martinsville, and collected 12 top tens and six top fives on his way to a fourth place finish in the final point standings - his best finish in his nine year NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series career. Starr has earned a total of five poles, four victories, and has finished in the top ten in points four times.

Message Board Quote of the Week: “I don’t see how Rusty + DEI + COT = competitive on the racetrack in 2009. I do see how Rusty could hook a sponsor, though, which DEI needs more than ever with Paul Menard leaving and taking the Menards money with him.” Scott B on rumors that Rusty Wallace would be making a return to NASCAR behind the wheel of a DEI-owned machine
