BDI Racing and Chevy to Help Raise Funds & Awareness during Autism Awareness Month

CONCORD, NC (April 16, 2008) - With April being Autism Awareness Month, BDI Racing, its team owner and SPEED television broadcaster, Bob Dillner, along with drivers Zach Stroupe, Nick Stroupe and Meghan Dillner announced today they are joining forces with Chevrolet to raise awareness of the neurological disorder that afflicts one in every 150 individuals in the United States.

BDI Racing will "Help Chevy Help Autism" by donating 10 percent of all the team's winnings of its events during the month of April to Autism Speaks, the country's top private funder of research uncovering the cause, prevention, treatments and cure of autism. In addition, SPEED's Bob Dillner will join BDI Racing's Super Late Model driver Zach Stroupe in an autograph session at the "Watermelon 125" PASS South SLM event on Saturday, April 26th, at Watermelon Capital Speedway in Cordele, Georgia, to help raise awareness of autism and funds for the Autism Speaks organization.

“Chevrolet is pleased that BDI Racing has created a program around their Super Late Model team to Help Chevy Help Autism, said Ed Peper, Chevrolet general manager. “One out of 150 children are diagnosed with autism, and raising fan awareness of AutismSpeaks.org at the local and regional race track level creates the opportunity to boost awareness and raise more funds to assist the children and families impacted by this disorder. We appreciate BDI Racing’s efforts during Autism Awareness Month.”

BDI Racing drivers Nick Stroupe and Meghan Dillner will also sport the Help Chevy Help Autism logos and colors during the April 19th Pro Challenge Series event at Franklin County Speedway in Callaway, Virginia. Zach Stroupe's #51 Chevy Impala SS Super Late Model will also be adorned with the Help Chevy Help Autism logos in the April 26th Watermelon Capital event.

"We hope that just by supporting the Help Chevy Help Autism program, we can bring even more awareness to the disorder throughout the month of April and beyond," said Director of Racing Operations for BDI Racing, Matt Kentfield. "Autism Speaks and autism awareness programs hold a special place not just in my heart, but it's something that everyone on our race team can rally behind and support wholeheartedly. Everyone at BDI Racing hopes that we can have just a small part in finding a cure for autism so that this and future generations of kids can grow up healthy."

The official website of BDI Racing, www.bdiracing.net, will also link to the special Help Chevy Help Autism page on Chevy.com that will donate to Autism Speaks every time a visitor checks out the North American Car of the Year, the all-new 2008 Chevy Malibu. Plus, as an added bonus, visitors will also get a 30-day trial of XM Satellite Radio for learning about the Malibu and supporting Autism Speaks.

"We are proud to stand with the folks at Chevy in support of Autism Speaks through the Help Chevy Help Autism program," said team owner for BDI Racing, Bob Dillner. "Autism has affected our family, friends and folks in the racing community, so it is a cause that we are close to. The companies I work for, FOX and SPEED, do a wonderful job of supporting this program and it inspired us to do so as well. By spreading the word of autism awareness and helping to donate to Autism Speaks, hopefully not just fans of our team, but short track racing fans across the country will help in our fight to bring about prevention and a cure to autism."

Already a winner in the Pro Challenge Series this season, Nick Stroupe will bring his Comfort Inn and Applebee's of Rocky Mount, VA, #51 machine to Franklin County on April 19th along with 14-year-old Meghan Dillner, who will be making her first-career Pro Challenge start in the BDI Racing #151.
