Friday May 16, 2008
Alexander, Ark— 19 years old Rookie, Jeff Wells of Trumann, Arkansas, will be making his presence known in the red and yellow # 1S, Larry Shaw, Super Late Model powered by Samuel Race Engines, this weekend at Monticello Speedway.
Jeff raced last weekend at Beebe Speedway where he would finish in the 3rd place position in his heat race. The track would play in his favor early on as he held positions in the top ten. It wouldn’t be long until the team began to suffer from mechanical failure, that would leave him credited with a nineteenth place finish.
The 1S team will unload this Saturday night at Monticello Speedway in Monticello, Arkansas, for the Kenneth Mitcham Memorial.
Jeff currently sits 5th place in the AMP Series point standings with 134 points, and leads 2008 Rookie of the year chase.
