Milwaukee, WI – August 21, 2008 – Paul Davis Restoration and Remodeling of Southeast Wisconsin owner Dan Druml announced today that his company sponsored NASCAR racing team, Paul Davis Restoration/ALS Ford will compete on Sat., Aug. 23 at Mansfield Motorsports Speedway, 100 Crall Road in Mansfield, OH. The race will begin at 5:40 pm. and is broadcast live on HDNET with later re-play on SPEED Channel.

Additionally, the team will compete on Sunday, Aug. 24 at the American Speed Association’s (ASA) Wisconsin All-Star 100 Governors Cup 150. The race will be held at The Milwaukee Mile, 7722 West Greenfield Ave. in West Allis, WI at 1 pm.

The team recently finished fifth at the Strutmasters.com 150, which was presented by General Dollar at Music City Motorplex, Tennessee State Fairgrounds. The Nashville race was broadcast in July on SPEED Channel.

According to Druml, his company will sponsor the Wisconsin-based team of driver Derek Thorn and the Paul Davis Restoration/ALS Ford Fusion in the NASCAR Camping World Series East and other racing events during this year. The Paul Davis Restoration/ALS Ford team is owned by Shawn Keep and managed by Scott Pfeiffer who is also the founder of “Racin’ for a Cure”, a Sun Prairie, WI -based non-profit organization that raises funds for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), a degenerative disease often referred to as “Lou Gehrig’s Disease”.

“As we continue to sponsor the team, along with Paul Davis Restoration Inc., we are committed to providing support to Scott for his work on behalf of finding a cure for ALS. Our company’s mission to support those in need is at the heart of our core values. Paul Davis Restoration and Remodeling of Southeast Wisconsin supports the race team and many additional non-profit organizations through the Paul Davis Charitable Foundation,” said Druml.

In summary, during a successful 2007 race season, Pfeiffer was diagnosed with ALS. He was devastated and decided to put together a business plan to raise awareness and funds for ALS research. Without start up money, he turned to his longtime friend and successful Wisconsin businessman Shawn Keep. Keep decided to support the NASCAR race team and “Racin’ for a Cure” in order to help raise awareness about ALS.

Recently, Paul Davis Restoration and Remodeling of Southeast Wisconsin helped Pfeiffer, 42, and his cause-related organization with donated home remodeling and restorations as part of the company’s annual Paul Davis Restoring America property improvement initiative. Paul Davis provided Pfeiffer and his family with the construction of accessible areas and ramps in the house and yard.
