Midlothian, Illinois (Thursday, August 28, 2008): It was a long
weekend to say the least for Car Owner, Mike Lorz and his entire Lorz
Motorsports operation. They brought three cars to the ASA Late Model
Series portions of the Governors Cup Weekend at the famed Milwaukee
Mile.

Troy Hintzsche and Josh Lane participated in the ASALMS Northern
Division segment of the weekend, the Governors Cup 100 on Saturday,
August 23rd while Canadian Jordan Sims raced in the ASALMS Challenge
Division’s Governors Cup 150 on Friday, August 24th.

Hintzsche was the main man in the spotlight for the Lorz stable as the
Malta, Illinois driver turned in a career high third place finish in
the 100-lap/100-mile event at the historic one-mile semi-banked paved
oval.

Troy had an awesome race at Milwaukee he Qualified Sixth fastest out
of 28 and finally got up on the podium,” Stated Mike Lorz. “A good
weekend for him for sure, I’m proud of him, that’s just awesome,
Milwaukee is the ASALMS version of the Daytona 500 to me!” He added.

Now Hintzsche and the rest of the Lorz Motorsports stable will help
celebrate the Labor Day Holiday Weekend with the 2nd annual Bob Milner
Memorial 100 at Hawkeye Downs Speedway in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on
Saturday August 30th, completing a stretch of three consecutive
weekends of ASALMS racing.

“Now we need to go to Hawkeye Downs and have another good run and keep
this momentum going,” The happy Car Owner continued. “I like Hawkeye
track, we’ve run pretty well there in the past so I think Troy will
have a good run.” Lorz added.

Back at Milwaukee and as for his two others drivers on hand over the
weekend, Josh Lane Qualified 11th in the same race and was running in
the Top 10 for the majority of the race until his engine started
fading and Lane hung on to finish 15th.

“Josh was fast, until the motor started to break up causing the car to
slow dramatically,” He continued. “I’m very proud of Josh he did an
excellent job this weekend! Crew Chief Don (Duffle-Bag) Udoni and the
whole team did an excellent job.”

Earlier this week, Josh Lane and Lorz Motorsports parted ways for the
remainder of the 2008 racing season. More details are included in a
separate press release.

Finally, Jordan Sims raced in the ASALMS Challenge Division portion of
the weekend and after Qualifying 22nd out of 29 cars, the Sault Ste.
Marie, Ontario / Canada driver fell victim to a ill motor and was
forced to drop out with a 26th place finish.

“Jordan seems like he has no luck at all, he qualified 22nd with a
last minute chassis change, then on Lap 30 as he’s racing with a pack
of cars, the motor started to lose power and he had to come in and was
done. What a disappointment,” Lorz added.

“Again another situation out of his control. His luck will change and
when it happens you are going to see how good this kid is.” He ended.
Sims next race for Lorz Motorsports will be determined at a later date
and will be announced soon.
