POST-RACE QUOTES & NOTES:
Donny Schatz, driver of the No. 15 Armor All/Chevy/ParkerStore/J&J for TSR: “What a great weekend for Tony Stewart Racing. Kraig won Friday night and we won Saturday night and then the boss (Tony Stewart) goes out and wins the Cup race on Sunday. Hopefully, we can keep the momentum going the rest of the month.

“Friday night we just missed the qualifying inversion and had to do it the hard way all night. The Armor All guys did a great job and we raced from 14th to seventh. On Saturday night, (crew chief) Ricky (Warner) and the guys (crewman Shane Bowers and Kyle Sundby) did a great job and the Armor All/Chevy/ParkerStore car was a rocket.

“Winning is what we try to do every night, but when you can lead every lap and have a car like we did on Saturday, it really gives everyone a lot of confidence. We’ve spent some time testing for next year down the stretch here, but also are trying to keep the championship for this year in mind too. We’ve got seven more nights to race, and we’re going after each one with the same goal and that’s coming home first.”

Kraig Kinser, driver of the No. 20 Bass Pro Shops/Chevy/J.D. Byrider Maxim for TSR:
“There is noting like winning races. It feels good. I’m happy for this whole Bass Pro Shops Chevrolet team. Friday night at North Central (Speedway), we had a really good car and just worked our way to the right spot in the feature. (Race leader) Joey (Saldana) was out there in front of us and Lucas (Wolfe) and I had a really good race for second. We were able to pass him and then Joey had a problem, so it all worked out.”

“We’re back on track and it feels really good. We’ve got seven races to go and we’re hoping to be in contention to win more before the end of the year.”
