Thursday November 20, 2008

Pensacola’s Favorite Family Sports Restaurant Ready to Feed Racers & Fans Derby Weekend

CONCORD, NC (November 20, 2008) – During the 41st Annual Snowball Derby Weekend at Pensacola, Florida’s Five Flags Speedway this December, the entire BDI Racing team will be hungry for victory. The driver, team and fans of the BDI Racing #51 Chevy Impala SS Super Late Model will try to satisfy that hunger on the track. But after the racing action has wrapped up at Five Flags each night, there’s only one place that team owner and SPEED Broadcaster Bob Dillner and his race team will be to satisfy another kind of hunger.

Beef ‘O’ Brady’s, located at 2101 West 9 Mile Road in Pensacola, just minutes from Five Flags Speedway, has partnered with BDI Racing for the 41st Annual Snowball Derby, December 3rd through 7th. Beef ‘O’ Brady’s colors will adorn the BDI Racing Chevy, while the entire team will enjoy the restaurant’s full lineup of tasty favorites while relaxing and sharing stories of the day.

“Racing is a business, but it’s also a family and friends thing for our team, so that’s why I am excited about having a family-style sports pub like Beef ‘O’ Brady’s of Pensacola as part of our effort for the Snowball Derby,” said Dillner. “I guess you can say we have joined ‘Team ‘O’ Brady’s.’ And I’m part Irish descent, so it works out perfect with our BDI Racing team. We’re looking forward to enjoying our time there and want to invite all the fans and teams at Five Flags Speedway during the Derby week to join us at Beef ‘O’ Brady’s. Hopefully we’ll have the ‘Luck of the Irish’ on our side from Beef ‘O’ Brady’s for the 41st annual Snowball Derby.”

From the time the West 9 Mile Road Beef ‘O’ Brady’s opened in 2007, the family sports-themed restaurant has quickly turned into one of the most popular hotspots for Pensacola locals. Offering a full array of delicious appetizers, soups and salads, specialty burgers, wraps, wings and more, plus a wide assortment of wines and beer, Beef ‘O’ Brady’s is sure to satisfy the hunger of not only the BDI Racing team, but other racers, crewmembers and fans headed to Pensacola for the Snowball Derby.

“We’re looking forward to this year’s Snowball Derby and our partnership with the BDI Racing team,” said Beef ‘O’ Brady’s of Pensacola manager Micah Porter. “The event is great for the community and it reaches out to customers that may not know about us. Everybody loves racing in Pensacola, especially racing at Five Flags Speedway, so it should be a great experience for us.

“It’d be a great accomplishment for the BDI Racing team and for us here at Beef ‘O’ Brady’s if the Beef ‘O’ Brady’s #51 car ended up in victory lane at the Snowball Derby.”

The Beef ‘O’ Brady’s #51 Chevrolet will make a special appearance at the sports pub on Tuesday, December 2nd, leading up to the 41st annual Snowball Derby. More details will be released in the coming days.

Beef ‘O’ Brady’s of Pensacola is open until 11pm Monday through Saturday and until 10pm on Sundays. They also offer their full menu to-go. For more information or to place a to-go order, contact Beef ‘O’ Brady’s at (850) 332-5040.

BDI Racing will also announce the name of the driver of the team’s Chevy Super Late Model for the Snowball Derby in the coming days.

Based in Concord, North Carolina, BDI Racing is a full-service short track development team that offers a “total package” approach to building strong racers both on the track and off. BDI Racing has a full fleet of cars from Quarter Midgets, Bandoleros, Legends Cars, Pro Challenge Series cars and Super Late Models. Several house drivers including Meghan Dillner, Chad Finchum and Josh Williams make up the core of the BDI Racing development program, but opportunities are available in all facets of BDI Racing’s organization for the entire 2009 season.
