South Boston Speedway still offering gift certificates to help your holiday shopping

SOUTH BOSTON, VA. — Christmas is now less than one month away. That means the malls will be crowded and shoppers will be scurrying around looking for deals.

For racing fans, South Boston Speedway has the best deal around — and, you don’t even have to fight the long lines at the mall to make your purchase.

Gift certificates good for use during the 2009 racing season at America’s Hometown Track, as well as season ticket passes for every event next year are currently available at the speedway.

Gift certificates are available in any monetary increments. And, your race fan will surely be thrilled to pull a gift certificate, good for use toward purchasing tickets to see some of the best short track racing action in the region at the four-tenths mile asphalt oval.

The 2009 schedule at South Boston Speedway includes action-packed racing on 18 dates. In addition to NASCAR Whelen All American Series events for the Barkhouser Late Model Stock Car Division, the Limited Sportsman Division, the Budweiser Pure Stock Division, and the Southern Vintage Modified Division, a host of special events are also planned in 2009.

South Boston Speedway will host the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modifieds on April 4. The NASCAR Camping World Series will make a return trip to America’s Hometown Track on May 30, and the Bailey’s 200, along with the annual Fireworks Extravaganza, will be held on July 3. Rounding out the 2009 season will be the Mason Dixon 500, which will once again feature 250 laps of action for the NASCAR Late Model Stock Cars and 250 laps of action for the PASS Super Late Models.
