South Boston Speedway 2009 season ticket prices are a great economic stimulus package
Thursday December 4, 2008
SOUTH BOSTON, VA. — In these times of financial worries, South Boston Speedway has the best economic stimulus package around for area race fans.
The 2009 racing season is fast approaching and the upcoming campaign will have 18 events slated at America’s Hometown Track. Want to see them all? Want a great deal to be in attendance for every race? If so, South Boston Speedway has a deal for you.
For $160 — that’s less than $10 per event — you can purchase a season ticket good for all the great racing action during South Boston Speedway’s 52nd season.
The 2009 schedule at South Boston Speedway includes action-packed racing on 18 dates. In addition to NASCAR Whelen All American Series events for the Barkhouser Late Model Stock Car Division, the Limited Sportsman Division, the Budweiser Pure Stock Division, and the Southern Vintage Modified Division, a host of special events are also planned in 2009.
South Boston Speedway will host the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modifieds on April 4. The NASCAR Camping World Series will make a return trip to America’s Hometown Track on May 30, and the Bailey’s 200, along with the annual Fireworks Extravaganza, will be held on July 3. Rounding out the 2009 season will be the Mason Dixon 500, which will once again feature 250 laps of action for the NASCAR Late Model Stock Cars and 250 laps of action for the PASS Super Late Models.
Gift certificates good for use during the 2009 racing season at America’s Hometown Track are available at the speedway as well. Gift certificates are available in any amount and can be purchased at the speedway office. Season ticket passes can also be purchased at the track office.
Before the 2009 season gets cranked up, South Boston Speedway fans can honor the top drivers from the 2008 campaign at the track’s annual Awards Banquet, which will be held Saturday, January 17, at the Prizery in South Boston. Tickets for that event are also available at the speedway office.
For more information visit the track’s Web site or phone the track at (434) 572-4947 or toll free at 1-877-440-1540.
Do you want the chance to win a free Frontstretch T-Shirt, and are you really good at talking about NASCAR? Well, we have the perfect opportunity for you. Our staff will be giving away a free T-Shirt to the reader who makes the best post in our Frontstretch Forum between now and the end of the season. So, what makes a good post? It’s pretty hard to impress us, but here are some things we are looking for:
Does your post spark passionate reactions from other readers? Are you commenting on meaningful NASCAR-related events? Do your posts have substance? In other words, “Dale Jr. is the best driver ever” or “Danica Patrick is hot” will not cut it.
So go to the Frontstretch Forums, post early, post often, and post well! We’ll announce the winner following the final race of the season at Homestead.
