Midlothian, Illinois (Thursday, July 2, 2009): Lorz Motorsports will
be heading down to the Rockingham Speedway in Rockingham, North
Carolina this weekend for the Cherry Bomb 200, the second race of the
2009 season for the ASA Late Model Series Challenge Division.

The Midlothian, Illinois based team will be bringing the #76 Ford
Fusion to the Tar Heel State with driver, Hal Martin behind the wheel.
The Lafayette, Louisiana driver will be making his ASALMS debut in one
of the most prestigious races of the season for the template bodied /
crate engine series, who’ll also be making their debut at the 1.032
mile high-banked paved oval.

“I’m really looking forward to the upcoming Cherry Bomb 200 weekend.
I’m excited to work with Lorz Motorsports and to establish a great
foundation for success in the upcoming races as well as the race at
Rockingham Speedway.” The 23-year-old offered.

“Rockingham is a fast one mile oval that is brutal on tires. I think
we will be fast when we unload and will need to race conservatively
for the first half of the race to save our tires.” The Louisiana
native continued. “Then we will go hard at the end and try to start
our racing relationship on a good note with Lorz Motorsports and end
up in victory circle.”

Back on June 27th, Martin made his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series
debut at Memphis Motorsports Park in Memphis, Tennessee for the
MemphisTravel.com 200 where he started and finished 26th.

“Hal has had a busy pretty month with us as he came to the shop, we
installed his new seat and we went out and tested quite a bit,” Lorz
Motorsports Car Owner, Mike Lorz said. “He did an excellent job he was
very consistent at Grundy County (in Morris, Illinois) on a track he
has never seen before. We were very impressed with him.”

As for his ASALMS schedule, after Rockingham, Martin will also steer
the #76 Lorz Motorsports Ford Fusion at two more ASALMS Challenge
Division races later in the season at Nashville Superspeedway on
August 15th and Iowa Speedway on September 19th.
