Yarborough, Gant, Marlin & Spencer coming to Mansfield July 19th

MANSFIELD, Ohio (July 4th, 2009) …Mike Dzurilla and Joe Mattioli, co-promoters of the recently run and highly successful Tim Richmond Memorial ARCA/REMAX 200 race at Mansfield Motorsports Park have announced another huge event to be held at MMP.

The Legends of NASCAR are making a stop at Mansfield Motorsports Park on Sunday, July 19, to meet their fans, sign autographs and participate in the racing program. Cale Yarborough, Harry Gant, Sterling Marlin and Jimmy Spencer will be appearing live and in person, competing together one more time against each other on the super fast Mansfield track. This will be the same night the track hosts the Frank Kimmel Street Stock 200-lap Invitational. The race will be open to all Kimmel, CRA and local Street Stocks. With upwards of 100 cars from around the country vying for the $5000 first place prize this will be an event you don’t want to miss.

Potential participants will be able to locate rules and entry forms at www.streetstocknationals.com .

The Legends will be available for at least an hour before the event to meet and greet their many fans and sign autographs. They will be racing each other in two eight-lap races during the evening. This may be the only time race fans will be able to be up close and talk to these NASCAR heroes of yesteryear. Bring your cameras for photos with the drivers.

For those fans that purchase their tickets in advance the pits will be open to them at no extra charge for an afternoon closed practice session to be held on Saturday July 18th as well as pit tours on Sunday before the races.
Ticket prices for this huge one time only event are $10 in advance and $15 the day of the race. The track will open up at 11:00 am the day of the race. The autograph session with the drivers will start at 4:30 pm and the NASCAR Race of Champions will be at 6:00 pm. The 200-lap Street Stock Invitational will be run at 7:00 pm.

If you thought the ARCA race was something wait until you see this. It’s truly a ‘don’t miss’ event for the entire family. Remember, you can only see it once.
