Oktoberfest Weekend and Lorz Motorsports haven't meshed well in the
past; Jordan Sims looks to change that this weekend.

Midlothian, Illinois (Thursday, October 8, 2009): The 2009 racing
season for Jordan Sims has been a roller coaster ride to say the
least. A thrilling Rookie of the Year battle within the ASA Late Model
Series Northern Division between him, current rookie point's leader,
Josh Nelms, and 16-year-old driving sensation, Ross Kenseth has been
as tense as anything Sims has experienced in his brief career. The
last race within the series was no exception.

The second straight race in the state of Michigan was at the Owosso
Speedway in Ovid, Michigan back on September 5th for the running of
the Labor Day Weekend 100. Sims had high hopes that his brief time
spent on the fast 3/8s (0.375) mile high-banked paved oval in an open
wheeled Modified would pay dividends.

The Labor Day Weekend 100 started off well enough for the 19-year-old
Canadian as he was the fastest car in the first Practice Session.
After working on race set-up in the second session, the Sault Ste.
Marie, Ontario / Canada driver qualified 10th quick and would start
the 100-lap feature from the outside of the fifth row next to Fast
Qualifier, Kyle Sirizzotti.

"We had a good car up to half way and were in sixth, but them I moved
up to the high side and lost a few spots," Explained Sims. "Normally
the top is the fast way around Owosso, but it didn't work too well for
us and I ended up using up the car trying to get those spots back."

In the end, Sims finished a solid seventh in Central Michigan as
Kenseth took his second win of the season and Nelms finished just
behind Sims in Ninth. Now Sims is looking forward to the 2009 ASALMS
Northern Division Season Championships which are part of the 40th
annual Oktoberfest Weekend at LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway in West
Salem, Wisconsin. The Oktoberfest 100 is set for Saturday, October 10th.

"I'm excited for Lacrosse this weekend. The past two times there we've
struggled and ended up with a wrecked race car each time." He
continued. "We're going there with a brand new setup and I'm going
there forgetting about the past experiences there. Danny (Crew Chief
Dan Lorz) and the whole crew have been working hard getting this setup
put together and I trust that it'll work."

"We're ready for Lacrosse this weekend! It's a big weekend for Jordan
we need to have a good run," Remarked Lorz Motorsports Car Owner, Mike
Lorz. "Right now we sit sixth in points. Lacrosse has always been bad
to us in the past, but we're ready to change that. Crew Chief, Dan
Lorz has three different shock packages to test on Friday. Jordan has
had an excellent year for his first full season in the ASA Late Model
Series." He ended.

After nine races on the 2009 ASALMS Northern Division schedule and
leading into LaCrosse, Sims is sitting sixth overall in the title
chase, just 13 points out of the Top Five. As for the chase for the
2009 Rookie of the Year title. Sims is third in the freshman battle
and trails current leader, Josh Nelms by 69 markers (1364-1295) while
16-year-old Ross Kenseth is now 13 points ahead Sims.
