Preston Peltier leads round two of practice for the All-American 400

The second practice for the All-American 400 is in the books. Preston Peltier backed up his quick time from the first session with a 19.163 second lap in the second session to take the top honors in both practices. Chase Elliott was second quickest, just .002 seconds behind Peltier. Slotting in third fastest in the Super Late Models was Trey Mitchell, who turned a lap at 19.214 seconds. Daniel Hemric, currently second in the series points set the fourth fastest lap of the session at 19.228 seconds. Capping off the top 5 in the Super Late Models was Willie Allen with a time of 19.250 seconds.

Johnny VanDoorn was seventh quick. Bubba Pollard, current series point leader was 10th fastest. Kyle Benjamin was 12th on the board, Stephen Nasse was 13th, and Ross Kenseth was 34th.

In the Pro Late Models, Waylen Jenkins was quickest in session number two. He turned in a lap of 19.854 seconds. Chase Chaffin was runner-up in the session with a lap of 19.963 seconds. The third fastest Pro Late Model in the session was Kyle McCallum at 20.055 seconds. Tucker Wingo was in the fourth spot in the Pros, right on McCallum’s heels with a 20.060 second lap. Rounding out the top 5 for the Pro Late Models was Trey Craig at 20.065 seconds.

Qualifying and Last Chance races will be held on Saturday afternoon before the feature race for the Pro Late Models and the All-American 400.
