Boot Scoot Bar & Grill Race Team to Seek 2014 ARCA/CRA Super Series Championship

Friday January 10, 2014

Salem, IN (January 9, 2014) – Boot Scoot Bar & Grill, located in Floyd Knobs, Indiana, is excited to announce that Boot Scoot Racing will run the full ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS 2014 schedule in hopes of claiming the series Championship with New Albany, Indiana driver Brett Robinson.

Boot Scoot Bar & Grill ran an abbreviated schedule with the ARCA/CRA Super Series in 2013 and was really pleased with the results and attention they received. They joined with Robinson in July and immediately had a chance to win the Redbud 300 at Anderson Speedway in their first race together. Robinson was running sixth with 50 laps to go saving his tires for the stretch run when a flat tire forced him to pit. Robinson salvaged an 11th place finish but the team saw the potential they had with Robinson behind the wheel.

The team was very competitive in the remaining races it ran in 2013 including qualifying second at Auto City Speedway and finishing third in the Fall Brawl event at the famed Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis. The team ended the season 12th in overall series points of the 147 teams that ran with the series during the 2013 season, despite missing the first five races of the season.

The Boot Scoot Race Team has purchased two new Port City Racecars that will be powered by McGunegill Engine Performance motors.

“It’s a dream come true for me,” stated Robinson. “I’ve been praying for this opportunity and feel really blessed to have Boot Scott Bar & Grill, Port City Racecars, McGunegill Engine Performance, Monson Truck Line, Bare Metal Inc. and EK Products behind me for the 2014 season. I feel we will be a contender at every race, this will be the best equipment and people that I have ever raced with!

Robinson added, “I intend to take full advantage of this opportunity. The #5 Boot Scoot Racing Chevrolet will be fast. I want to thank everyone involved!”
