Bryan Davis Keith
Compared to a lot of fans out there, Bryan is a newbie to the ranks of NASCAR, having only started following the sport in 2003. In those five years, however, Bryan has completely immersed himself in the sport of stock car racing, and today considers himself one of the most passionate fans of the sport today. Bryan attended his first race, the Coca-Cola 600, at Lowe’s Motor Speedway in 2004. This season, Bryan has attended Sprint Cup, Nationwide Series, ARCA Re/Max Series, Southern Modified Tour, and Arena Racing USA events.
Bryan found his favorite driver during the Dover race in June of 2003. Already impressed with Ryan Newman’s intelligence, graduation from Purdue and dry wit, Bryan was blown away by Newman’s performance that Sunday, racing Tony Stewart tooth and nail back to the line to keep him a lap down and winning despite having no power steering for much of the event. Since then, Bryan hasn’t gone anywhere without his No. 12 cap. The 2008 Daytona 500 was among the highlights of Bryan’s time as a NASCAR fan. Bryan actually had to go back and watch the call of Newman’s winning pass because he was screaming so loud that he heard none of it.
When Newman’s not on the track, Bryan is pulling for the underdogs, be it Morgan Shepherd in the Nationwide Series or Darrell Basham in the ARCA Re/Max Series. Bryan is also a huge fan of short track racing, with his favorite stops being Bowman Gray Stadium in Winston-Salem, NC and the dirt track of Winchester, Virginia. His favorite local racers include David Adams of Yadkinville, NC, and Kris Holliday, Bo Feathers and Tommy Armel in northern Virginia.
Bryan recently graduated from Wake Forest University in May of 2008 with a double major in political science and communication. In addition to his work with the Frontstretch, Bryan was an accomplished writer at Wake Forest, having published legal research as well as worked as a staff political columnist for the school newspaper, the Old Gold & Black. Bryan’s often provocative work led him to be dubbed “the Controversialist” by one of his professors.
Currently living on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, Bryan is working to land a job in either the political or racing realms. To any organization out there looking for a hard working, enthusiastic and capable writer, look no further.

Q & A with Bryan Davis Keith
What drew you into NASCAR? I watched the 2003 Daytona 500 because I was bored and it was raining at home, to be honest. I had no idea that NASCAR was a series, that there was a point system, that the cars had restrictor plates, etc, so I kept watching for curiosity’s sake. Then, at Darlington, I saw the Ricky Craven/Kurt Busch finish live, and I’ve been hooked ever since.
What sports do you follow outside of NASCAR? I’m a big time football fan. College football, I love pulling for the mid-major teams and bashing the BCS. NFL, I am as diehard a Washington Redskins fan as you’ll find. I also follow the Washington Capitals, DC United, and the US Men’s National Soccer team.
What are your biggest pet peeves in racing? Kyle Busch, start-and-park teams, the Top 35 rule, and Cup drivers running in the Nationwide Series.
What are your other interests outside of racing? Politics and film are my predominant favorites. I’m a Constitutionalist thinker politically and my favorite film is the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
