Cami Starr

For over a decade, NASCAR has been a part of Cami's life. The first race she watched on TV was the infamous 1995 Bristol night race when Dale Earnhardt Sr. punted Terry Labonte across the finish line and she's been hooked ever since.

In 2000, that hobby took on a new dimension when she answered an ad on a racing website looking for writers. After talking to the editor, she decided to give it a shot a new passion was born. For the next year and a half, she wrote daily NASCAR news articles until the site was closed due to corporate restructuring. It wasn't long before she found a new gig writing race recaps for a fantasy Motorsports site. That went so well that it turned into a full-time paying job. Cami spent over three years as the Producer of a top fantasy site that covered Formula One, IRL, Champ Car, MotoGP as well as the NASCAR Cup and Busch Series.

Economic factors (i.e. not enough ad money to pay her salary) forced the site to close and Cami was thrust back out into the real world to find a job. It took a long time, but she finally landed on her feet working at an insurance company in Omaha and started making plans to return to college. But one thing was still missing, the need to write.

At the start of 2005, Cami joined the staff at Frontstretch.com and took on the duties of writing a weekly Who's Hot/Who's Not column. In the second half of the season, she started a second fantasy racing column along with Mike Neff where they squared off week to week making race predictions. In her sophomore season, Cami will continue to write the same two columns from last year and hopes to defend her title as the site's top Fantasy Racing Coordinator.
