For over a decade, NASCAR has been a part of Cami’s life. The first race she watched on TV was the infamous 1995 Bristol night race when Dale Earnhardt Sr. punted Terry Labonte across the finish line and she’s been hooked ever since.
In 1999, that hobby took on a new dimension when she answered an ad on a racing website looking for writers. After talking to the editor, she decided to give it a shot and a new passion was born. For the next year and a half, she wrote daily NASCAR news articles until the site was closed due to corporate restructuring. It wasn’t long before she found a new gig writing race recaps for a fantasy Motorsports site. That went so well that it turned into a full-time paying job. Cami spent over three years as the Producer of a top fantasy site that covered Formula One, IRL, Champ Car, MotoGP as well as the NASCAR Cup and Busch (Nationwide) Series.

Economic factors (i.e. not enough money to pay her salary) forced the site to close and Cami was thrust back out into the real world to find a job. She currently works for an insurance company that is owned by the Berkshire Hathaway group in Omaha, NE. In what little spare time she has, Cami also attends college on a part-time basis.

At the start of 2005, Cami joined the staff at Frontstretch.com and took on the duties of writing a weekly Who’s Hot/Who’s Not column. In the second half of the season, she started a second fantasy racing column along with Mike Neff where they square off week to week making race predictions.

In 2008, Cami’s main role at Frontstretch is Fantasy Racing Editor where she develops and maintains the fantasy games found on the site.

Name One Person or Thing You Can’t Stand : People who drive around with their blinker on.

What Is Your Favorite NASCAR Trip or Vacation? : My first trip to a race at MIS in 1996 with friends from work. We can still tell jokes and laugh about that trip for hours!

Do You Have Any Pre-race Rituals? : Drinking as much caffeine as possible so I stay awake through all the debris cautions.

Who Is Your Favorite Actor?: Eddie Izzard. His Dress to Kill standup special is hilarious! He’s also wonderful on The Riches.

Who Is Your Favorite Cartoon Character? : Stewie Griffin.
