Amy Henderson

An NMPA award-winning motorsports columnist, Amy came to The Frontstretch in the spring of 2004. In addition to her Monday column, The Big Six, a unique look at each weekend’s Sprint Cup Series race and her Friday commentary, Holding A Pretty wheel, Amy has worked to coordinate our Driver Diary Series. She has worked on that with drivers Jarit Johnson and Casey Mears and currently handle’s Kenny Wallace’s contribution. Amy joined the editorial staff in 2007 and became a Managing Editor in 2012. She coordinates Mirror Driving, our signature round-table column and serves as Photo Editor and Social Media Director as well.

Since getting her degree in Mass Media Communications, Amy has also worked with the Richmond Braves in fan services and the Babe Ruth Birthplace Museum in public relations. She has been published in the Baltimore Orioles’ fan magazine as well as the Athlon Sports Racing Annual, where she is an Editorial Assistant. She also serves as Lead Writer for the official Website of Nationwode Series driver Kenny Wallace.

Amy grew up in Plymouth, New Hampshire and currently resides in Mooresville, North Carolina. She is an avid equestrian and competes in dressage as well as hunter and Western pleasure with her horse, JJ’s Blaisin’ Sky (“Henry”). Amy also enjoys photography, reading, and watching her beloved Boston Red Sox snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
