Meegan Sweeny

Meegan Sweeney became a fan of NASCAR in 2002, after the season that took Dale Earnhardt's life. Being largely a baseball and football fans. She thought it was just cars driving in circles. After seeing a few races at the tale end of 2001 season, she was hooked. Her first race was at Dover International Speedway in June 2004 and has been the track she's visited ever since. (Besides her first visit to Lowes Motor Speedway and North Carolina in general, in October of 2006.)

Her educational background includes a BA in Communication, with a Minor in Dance from George Mason University and courses in the School of Journalism at UMass Amherst. At George Mason, she wrote for the official campus newspaper The Broadside and independent publication, Expulsion.

Away from FS, the former radio DJ works in an office, paying the bills in Connecticut, as an aspiring journalist. She hopes her time at FS, will be a stepping stone into something else.

Her past times include watching the Baltimore Orioles and the Washington Redskins, reading, spending way too much time online and listening to recorded and live music.

One of the coolest things that's happened to her, has been meeting Martin Truex, Jr. at his Official Fan Club gathering at Bass Pro Shops, in Concord, North Carolina.
