Ray Evernham's cars have been at the top of the time sheets all weekend, but someone else finally broke in on their domination as Dale Earnhardt, Jr. posted the fastest lap at 183.943 mph in Nextel Cup Series final practice. Kyle Busch repeated his second place result from the first session with Denny Hamlin, Kasey Kahne, and Jimmie Johnson rounding out the five fastest cars.
Clint Bowyer, Greg Biffle, Martin Truex Jr., Scott Riggs, and Robby Gordon completed the Top 10 followed by Ryan Newman, Casey Mears, Jeff Gordon, David Gilliland, Jeff Burton, Dave Blaney, Elliott Sadler, Kurt Busch, Joe Nemechek, and David Stremme in 11th through 20th.
Reed Sorenson, Todd Bodine, Kevin Harvick, Bobby Labonte, and Sterling Marlin were 21st through 25th with Mark Martin, Carl Edwards, Tony Stewart, Matt Kenseth, and Ken Schrader completing the Top 30. Terry Labonte, Dale Jarrett, Tony Raines, Todd Kluever, Jamie McMurray, J.J. Yeley, Kyle Petty, Travis Kvapil, Jeff Green, and Mike Bliss logged in 31st through 40th with Mike Skinner, Brian Vickers, and Michael Waltrip rounding out the field.
