Daytona International Speedway Names Two Vice Presidents

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Brian Crichton and John Guthrie have been named Vice Presidents at Daytona International Speedway, Speedway President Robin Braig announced today.
Crichton will serve as Vice President, Special Events & Entertainment, while Guthrie will serve as Vice President, Business Development and Partnerships. Both assume their duties immediately.
"Both Brian and John have displayed the leadership and forward thinking that has helped put DIS in the forefront of the motorsports industry," said Braig. "We will continue to look to them to keep DIS ahead of the pack."
Crichton, who recently served as Sr. Director, Special Events & Entertainment, will continue to evaluate and negotiate existing track rental and sanction agreements, evaluate new business opportunities as well as manage and grow all special events at the Speedway including Rolex 24 At Daytona, March Motorcycles, Historic Sportscars, Fall Cycle Scene, WKA and Richard Petty Driving Experience.
Guthrie, former Sr. Director, Business Development and Partnerships, will continue to grow the sales process of all DIS inventory (tickets, sponsorships and hospitality), work with all ISC departments and teams to leverage our resources and work closely with the Senior Management team to develop, manage, direct and implement Sales and Marketing strategies and objectives to advance business, fan and community relations.
Crichton has been at DIS since 2004. Prior to DIS, he served as Director of Public Relations for Chicagoland Speedway and Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, Ill. - an ISC-owned facility. He has also held positions at the Durham Bulls Baseball Club (MLB franchise) in Durham, N.C. and WRAL-TV in Raleigh, N.C.
Guthrie also joined DIS in 2004. Prior to DIS Guthrie held positions with the West Michigan Whitecaps (MLB franchise) in Grand Rapids Mich. and with 3M in Chicago.
