MIS to host informational webinar on Oct. 7 for renewal customers

Saturday October 3, 2009

BROOKLYN, Mich. (Oct. 2, 2009) — Renewing a race ticket shouldn’t be complicated. So Michigan International Speedway will host a webinar at 7 p.m. Wednesday, October 7 for fans who need a little advice on how it’s done.

The webinar is free and can be viewed by visiting the MIS channel on Ustream.tv. The link is www.Ustream.tv/channel/MIS-Live.

Renewal packets were mailed out Sept. 30 to all 2009 customers who purchased either tickets or camping for last summer’s events. Fans should have their renewal packet accessible when MIS President Roger Curtis and his staff walk through the renewal process during the webinar.

For fans who are renewing tickets or camping for the first time, this is a great opportunity to educate themselves by asking questions of Curtis and his staff about the renewal process.

“This webinar will hopefully be helpful for fans that are going through the renewal process,” Curtis said. “We want this process to be easy for our fans and this webinar is intended to be as informative as possible so they can return to MIS for an enjoyable race season in 2010.”

Curtis and his staff will also be discussing many new changes to MIS for next season. They include, lowering prices in all grandstand seats for 2010, wider seats in the center and turn 3 grandstands, lower infield wristband prices, a customizable 4-part payment plan, lower Friday and Saturday prices, lower Acceleration Club presented by Budweiser prices and new kids/junior pricing.

Nestled in the lush Irish Hills of Southeastern Michigan, Michigan International Speedway is the Great Escape, a venerable NASCAR national park where fans can get away and enjoy the very best in racing and camaraderie. It’s the love of racing and the thrill of a great time for race fans and drivers alike.

The best, guaranteed lowest prices in 2010 will go to renewal customers and new customers who make a $30 goodwill deposit. Current 2009 customers will have the chance to renew at the best pricing available when they receive their renewal packets. New customers can log onto www.MISpeedway.com or call 800-354-1010 to leave a deposit. That deposit ensures race fans get the best pricing for 2010.
