Celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month With The All New "Viva La Fiesta" Musical Festival Area at ACS

~ Fans also invited to the Viva la Fiesta Kick Off Party at King Taco, Thursday, Oct. 1 ~

San Bernardino County, Calif. (Sept. 30, 2009) – In celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15- October 15), Auto Club Speedway is bringing Southern California race fans “Viva la Fiesta,” the Speedway’s all-new Hispanic musical festival area located in the ACS Opportunity, California FanZone. Race fans attending the Inaugural Southern California Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup weekend at Auto Club Speedway, Oct. 9-11, will not only experience the thrill of incredible world-class racing, but also a full weekend of Hispanic heritage and culture.

Fans are also invited to join Auto Club Speedway at the Viva La Fiesta “Kick Off Party with King Taco” on Thursday, Sept. 1 at 10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at King Taco, 406 N. Mountain Ave., Ontario, Calif. 91762. Providing more fun and entertainment will be the new radio station Exitos 93.9. Fans attending the “Kick Off Party with King Taco” will have the opportunity to win tickets to the Pepsi 500, limited edition race event posters, King Taco hats and much more.

Walking through the gates of Auto Club Speedway and into Viva la Fiesta, fans will enjoy live musical performances from:

Los Angeles punk rock band Fatima
the Los Angeles based, indie band Son Locuaz, a group rooted in a classic rock style and accompanied by profound lyrics of love and progressive change
Latin alternative pop/rock group Ruido De Fondo, a band romantically infused with pop rock beats
the Los Angeles favorite Mariachi Latino de Jose Cervantes

While grooving to the music, race fans will surely catch the aroma of the delicious food choices that Viva la Fiesta has to offer. Roasted corn on the cob, fruit cups with chili powder and lime, Mexican candy, Churros and King Taco’s famous tacos and much more.
