Ticket/camping renewals get MIS fans excited for 2010

Renewal customers get chance to win trip to Las Vegas; Deposits also being accepted for 2010

BROOKLYN, Mich. (Oct. 5, 2009) — Ticket/camping renewals for the 2010 season are under way so fans of Michigan International Speedway have been taking advantage of the lower pricing the Irish Hills track is offering until the November 6 deadline.

Race fans that renew before the deadline are guaranteed the best prices for 2010, which include lower prices in every grandstand seat, reduced pricing on infield wristbands and Acceleration Club sponsored by Budweiser packages. Prices are subject to change Feb. 1.

“This is the best time to purchase for the season because it is our guaranteed lowest pricing for 2010,” MIS President Roger Curtis said. “We understand that it is sometimes tough to renew this far in advance, but we’ve had a great number of fans already renew, which we truly appreciate in these tough economic times. It is the support and dedication of so many of our loyal MIS fans that make our race weekend special.”

The speedway has also launched a flexible payment plan for 2010. Fans can make up to four payments, starting with at least 10 percent down.

MIS has also introduced pricing for kids and juniors. Kids 12 and under are free in general admission sections during Sunday events at the track; and children 17 and under are half-price in reserved seats on Sundays.

Fans can renew by calling MIS at 800-354-1010, stopping by the speedway offices, mailing renewal forms, or clicking online at www.mispeedway.com/Get-Tickets/Renewals.aspx.

Jeri Covalt and her husband Pat have traveled to MIS from Charleston, Ill., every year since 2002. The Covalts were the first customers to renew for 2010. Jeri went online after receiving a renewal e-mail from MIS to purchase their MIS Champions Club for next season’s June LifeLock 400 race weekend.

“We’ve been buying Champions Club tickets since 2005 and absolutely love watching the races at MIS,” Jeri Covalt said. “We really enjoy the atmosphere at MIS. The Champions Club is great and the food is the best of any track we’ve been to. This will be our tenth season attending races in Michigan and we also have season tickets to Chicagoland Speedway so we’re big fans. We like the big and fast tracks like Michigan the most and are excited for the June 2010 race weekend.”

Because they renewed for 2010, the Covalts are automatically entered into the MIS Race to Vegas contest. All customers who renew for next season, including the Covalts, will be entered into a drawing to win a trip for two to the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Awards Ceremony in Las Vegas. The winner and a guest will receive a three-day/two-night trip to Las Vegas from December 3-5. The prize includes round-trip coach airfare, hotel accommodations at the famed Wynn Hotel and the opportunity to attend the awards ceremony.

New race fans or fans who have not been to MIS in a year may take advantage of the renewal price by leaving a $30 goodwill deposit. That $30 will lock in the lowest prices through Jan. 31.

Nestled in the lush Irish Hills of Southeastern Michigan, Michigan International Speedway is the Great Escape, a venerable NASCAR national park where fans can get away and enjoy the very best in racing and camaraderie. It’s the love of racing and the thrill of a great time for race fans and drivers alike.

The best, guaranteed lowest prices in 2010 will go to renewal customers and new customers who make a $30 goodwill deposit. Current, 2009 customers will have the chance to renew at the best pricing available when they receive their renewal packets. New customers can log onto www.MISpeedway.com or call 800-354-1010 to leave a deposit. That deposit ensures race fans get the best pricing for 2010.
