This week, here’s a sneak peek at what a select few were thinking following the Corona 200 at Autodromos Hermanos Rodriguez in Mexico City:

“It’s a pretty phenomenal day for these Joe Gibbs Racing guys. They did an awesome job once again. We ran up front a good bit of the race; [Scott Pruett] was just blocking a little bit too much, I believe. Now I understand why he got dumped last year. And if it came down to it, he was going to be again. [But he] smoked the tires, and I was able to get by him.” – Kyle Busch, Mexico City winner

“If I could take it back, I would. I didn’t mean to get into Boris [Said]; I really like him. He’s a great racer, and I’ve idolized him in the past and I still do. If I could wind the clock back, I would. It was just the craziest thing I’ve seen. I feel bad for him. I can’t take it back. We’re proud of our day.” – Marcos Ambrose, finished second

“[Busch] shoved me a few times, telling me he was getting anxious to go. Instead of getting turned around and my car tore up like last year, I gave him [room] and thought I could hold on and Marcos came up, as well. It was a good run, not a great run.” – Scott Pruett, finished third

“That was fun. We just lost track position. We had a car that could win the race. That’s good. It’s two weeks in a row that we’ve been good. My crew did a great job and it’s just too bad we got caught up on that caution but we got to fight back, and my hats off to Kyle Busch and everybody on that No. 20 team, they did a great job.” – Carl Edwards, finished fourth

“Well, we were going to have a good day. We still would have been a top-20 car and probably finished 15th or so… but we just broke the clutch. I think it was with one lap to go, down the back short shoot – just lost the clutch. There’s nothing you can do. It was a part failure. I am pleased with how we ran, but I’m disappointed in the end result with our finish, because we should have had a solid day.” – Kelly Bires, finished 31st

“I think at the end there, the 3M Ford Fusion was the fastest car on the racetrack. I think we had a car that definitely could have won the race. We were real fast right at the back and got caught up and spun out there by the No. 33 [Ron Hornaday Jr.]. I guess that’s racing. I had a real fast car. It’s unfortunate the way the events turned out; we certainly had a fast car.” – Colin Braun, finished 33rd

“My team Ford Fusion driver Marcos Ambrose just cheap shotted me and took me out. He either made a mistake, or he’s incredibly stupid, and I don’t think he’d make a big mistake like that. I wouldn’t expect it from him. I’m not going to get mad, I’m just going to get even… [and] I’m going to go apologize to his crew chief, because it’s going to cost him a car.” – Boris Said, finished 35th
