Blue Smoke and Burnt Rubber: Talk at the Track #6

This is C.J. Parker reporting from Raleigh Police Headquarters with breaking news concerning the disappearance of Cody Dunhurst, the 26 year old assistant to GSCA series director Stan Fielding. Miss Dunhurst has been missing since last Thursday. She was last seen at Danny O’ Flynn’s nightclub, The Double Malt Bar. She could not be accounted for after a fire broke out in the kitchens, evacuating the club and sending many notable racing celebrities into the streets with their friends and family.

Police Commissioner, Eric LaPlante, stated that due to new evidence coming to light, the FBI has been brought in on the case. Although officials refuse to elaborate on any details, they are now treating this missing persons case as a potential abduction.

Sources at GSCA headquarters have rumored that they think Miss Dunhurst may be involved in the fuel tampering scandal that rocked the Van Lytton teams earlier this year.

Stan Fielding, in cooperation with local and federal officials, is calling a meeting at GSCA headquarters for all track owners that host cup level events.

Of course, police are vigorously following all leads. Commissioner LaPlante asks that anybody who has knowledge of Miss Dunhurst’s whereabouts to please call 1-888-555-TIPS with information.

Miss Dunhurst is well-known to all the GSCA teams and personally speaks with members of the media on a regular basis. This reporter joins her friends and family in praying for her safe and speedy return.

C.J. Parker, from downtown Raleigh. Good night.
