Sprint Cup team owner Jack Roush was involved in a second serious plane crash Monday, injured while trying to land his plane at Wittman Field in Oshkosh, Wis. Roush was trying to land for the Experimental Aircraft Association’s fly-in convention when the engine stalled during an aborted landing attempt; the wing dropped and then the plane impacted the runway.
Frontstretch has independently confirmed that Roush and his passenger, who ESPN.com has confirmed as Brenda Strickland, walked away from the crash and into the arms of rescue workers. Roush was bloodied but appeared to have non-life threatening injuries.
The Associated Press has just come out with a story, which can be viewed here. They have Roush confirmed in the hospital in serious but stable condition.
