The Trucks hit the track at 9:00 AM for practice for the North Carolina Education Lottery 200. Ty Dillon logged the fastest lap of the session on his23rd lap on the track with a 29.772 second lap. His time was the only one that broke the 181 mph barrier with a speed of 181.378 mph. Timothy Peters was second qucik at 29.887 mph and a speed of 180.681 mph. Joey Coulter put the second RCR truck in the top three, clocking a 29.957 second lap for a speed of 180.258 mph. Fourth fastest on the chart was Matt Crafton whose 30.003 second lap equated to 179.982 mph. The final truck in the top five was Justin Lofton who was timed at 30.004 seconds at 179.976 mph.
