Corey LaJoie to make Camping World Truck Series debut at Kentucky

Ricky Benton Racing Enterprises announced on Tuesday that they have signed Corey LaJoie to drive the team’s No. 92 Ford F-150 in Thursday night’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event at Kentucky Speedway. The 21-year-old will have sponsorship from BTS Tire and Wheel Distributors/Team Cooksey Oil Company and Goodyear FleetHQ.

at Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, Michigan on August 17, 2013.
Hopefully Corey Lajoie doesn’t encounter action like this in his first Camping World Truck Series race.

The son of past NASCAR Nationwide Series Champion Randy LaJoie will also be running the NASCAR Nationwide Series race this weekend, piloting the No. 98 Ford owned by Biagi-DenBeste Racing. LaJoie has one previous NNS start, which was the season finale last year at Homestead-Miami Speedway. He finished 34th.

LaJoie has been working his way up through the ranks the past two years with experience in the ARCA Racing Series and NASCAR K&N Pro Series. In 2003, he won three of the five ARCA events he started, one of those being at Kentucky. In 2012, he scored five victories in 14 starts in NASCAR K&N Pro Series competition.
