Jimmie Johnson Foundation Forms Partnership with The Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company

On Thursday, Jimmie Johnson announced that his charitable organization, the Jimmie Johnson Foundation (JJF), has joined forces with The Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company in order to serve as a co-sponsor of the Jimmie Johnson Foundation’s annual Wellness Challenge.  Under the partnership, the event will be known as the 2015 Jimmie Johnson Foundation Wellness Challenge presented by Penn Mutual.

Jimmie Johnson, who co-founded the JJF with wife Chandra, is very happy to have Penn Mutual onboard for his foundation’s annual Wellness Challenge.

“This is the second year for the JJF Wellness Challenge and it is really gaining momentum and support from the community,” Johnson said in a press release.  “Chandra and I are very grateful that Penn Mutual has come on board as the presenting sponsor. With the help of all of our valued sponsors, we are able to raise much-needed funds for K-12 public schools.”

Penn Mutual COO David O’Malley is also squarely behind the JJF’s motivations.

“Penn Mutual is proud to be the presenting sponsor of the 2015 Jimmie Johnson Foundation Wellness Challenge,” O’Malley said.  “As a life insurance company, we are keenly focused on personal wellness. And we deeply believe in giving back to the community. So, we believe the Jimmie Johnson Foundation Wellness Challenge is a wonderful fit for who we are and what we stand for. Through our involvement in this important program, we hope to help participants in the challenge, and recipients of the proceeds experience all the wonderful possibilities that life has to offer.”

The Jimmie Johnson Foundation Wellness Challenge presented by Penn Mutual is a series of three events in the Charlotte metro area designed to bring attention to healthy living and physical fitness, in addition to teambuilding.  The first event is the annual Jimmie Johnson Foundation 5K in Huntersville on April 26.  That will be followed by two triathlons.  The first is the Jimmie Johnson Foundation Cane Creek Sprint Triathlon in Waxhaw (southeast of Charlotte) in August.  Finally, the trio of events wraps up with the Jimmie Johnson Foundation Lake Davidson Sprint Triathlon in September in Davidson near Lake Norman and Davidson College.
