Red Line Oil to Sponsor J.R. Todd at Select Events

Kalitta Motorsports has announced that long-time associate sponsor Red Line Oil has stepped up to be the primary sponsor of the Top Fuel Dragster driven by J.R. Todd at select events this season beginning with the Circle K Winternationals this weekend in Pomona.

Red Line’s closest relationship in racing is with the Kalitta organization,” said Cameron Evans, Red Line president. “The opportunity to work even closer with the team came about and we welcomed the opportunity to brand the car. We feel that JR Todd is one of NHRA’s best drivers and to brand the car that Connie Kalitta personally runs is great fun for our customers and employees.”

Todd took over driving duties of the Kalitta Motorsports Top Fuel Dragster at the third race of the season last year and went on to post one win, three No. 1 qualifiers, and finish second in points.

Red Line has been an associate sponsor with the team since 2001 and also sponsored the same car for multiple races back in the 2006 season.

“We’ve been proud to represent Red Line Oil for close to 15 years,” said Jim Oberhofer, Vice President of Operations at Kalitta Motorsports. “They’ve been one of our most supportive associates through those years and we’re excited to grow the relationship by running the primary colors of Red Line.”
