Timothy Peters Snags 2015 Fred’s 250 Powered by Coca-Cola Pole at Talladega

Frontstretch’s Truck Series content is presented by American Trucks

Camping World Truck Series teams took to Talladega Superspeedway in single-truck runs to qualify for this afternoon’s Fred’s 250 powered by Coca-Cola.

Defending Talladega winner Timothy Peters will lead the field to the green flag with a speed of 178.304 mph, and Las Vegas winner John Wes Townley will start alongside him. Points leader Erik Jones starts fourth. Daniel Hemric and Ben Kennedy round out the top five.

Matt Tifft rolls off in sixth, followed by Matt Crafton, who suffered a small setback during inspection on Friday. His ThorSport teammate Johnny Sauter starts eighth. Spencer Gallagher and Christopher Bell round out the top 10.

Brian Keselowski, who is making his series debut in place of the injured Austin Theriault, starts 11th. Meanwhile, Tyler Reddick, who is locked in a three-way battle for the championship with Jones and Crafton, missed making the second round and will start 15th.

Ryan Ellis and Andy Seuss, who was attempting to make his series debut with FDNY Racing, failed to make the field.
