HScott Motorsports Suffers Hauler Fire

Just a day before Sprint Cup Series teams were to hit the track at Texas Motor Speedway, Michael Annett‘s No. 46 team suffered the loss of both of its cars plus the at track equipment in a hauler fire en route to the speedway. The fire began in Longview, Tex., about three hours from the speedway. Team owner Harry Scott said Thursday evening via text message “we will push through.”

Annett will still race in Sunday’s AAA Texas 500. The No. 46 and 51 teams scrambled to get Justin Allgaier‘s backup car ready for Friday’s lone practice session. According to a team spokesperson, two more cars are en route to Texas and will be available should Allgaier or Annett find themselves in need of a backup car.
