Off the Wall With: Gray Gaulding

We’re back for season two of Off the Wall With… and we’ve got five brand-new questions for your favorite racing personalities!  This week: up-and-coming driver Gray Gaulding.

What was your first race car and what number was it?

Gray Gaulding: No. 07. That was Bobby Dotter’s number.

What’s the craziest thing that’s ever happened to you during a race?

Gaulding: I would probably say Daytona this year. I had to miss the huge melee on the front straightaway. That was pretty intense trying to miss that wreck and I had to come around it. That was pretty wild.

What was the first concert you ever attended?

Gaulding: Jason Aldean. That was a good concert.

What’s the best practical joke you were ever involved in, as either perpetrator or victim?

Gaulding: Oh, it’s got to be on my manager Rusty. We like to joke on him a lot. I’ve done some crazy ones, I can’t even remember.

What was the worst thing you hid from your parents as a kid?

Gaulding: [Laughter] I can’t say. My parents are right here beside me.

Family friend: I’ll tell you what he hid from me when Gray was a little boy. I couldn’t find my car. He was 8 years old, he got in it, started it up and drove it down the street and parked it in the neighbor’s house. I was pretty pissed about that.
