Wednesday was a busy day for NASCAR penalties.

The biggest penalty was levied to the No. 5 team of Kasey Kahne, who received a P3 penalty for illegal truck arms found following the race weekend at Dover. Crew chief Keith Rodden was fined $25,000 and the team lost both 15 drivers and owners points. Kahne dropped from 16th to 20th in the point standings as a result of the penalty.

The No. 23 team of David Ragan was hit with a P1 penalty for a crewmember failing to meet safety guidelines. The crew member was fined $1,000.

Warnings were issued to the No. 7 team of Regan Smith, the No. 24 team of Chase Elliott, No. 42 team of Kyle Larson and the No. 88 team of Dale Earnhardt Jr. for failing pre-race inspection multiple times.

On the XFINITY Series side of the paddock, the No. 25 team of Ryan Ellis was penalized for the same infraction as Ragan, failure of a crew member to meet safety guidelines. The crew member of that team was also fined $1,000.

The No. 18 team of Matt Tifft was warned for failing pre-race inspection twice.

In the Camping World Truck Series, the No. 51 team of Daniel Suarez was found to be too high and was issued a P2 penalty. The crew chief was fined $6,000 and the team was docked 10 owner points.

The No. 07 team of CJ Faison was also warned for having illegal truck arms found on opening day inspection.
