Race Weekend Central

Entry List: 2016 UNOH 200

Frontstretch’s Truck Series content is presented by American Trucks

On Wednesday night (weather permitting), the Camping World Truck Series will take to the 0.533-mile Bristol Motor Speedway for 200 laps of hard-fought action.  Before we get to the race, 36 trucks will have to bite and claw to make the 32-truck field.

Possibly the most notable addition to the field is Austin Cindric returning to Brad Keselowski Racing in the No. 2 Ford with Pirtek sponsorship.  Unfortunately, like Cindric’s previous outing this year at Dover, making the race will be completely dependent on whether the first round of qualifying can be completed to a satisfactory level.  That did not happen at Dover.

SS-Green Light Racing has tapped Matt Mills to make his Camping World Truck Series debut in the No. 07 Chevrolet this week.  Mills is a late model racer out of Ohio who ran a partial schedule in the JEGS/CRA All-Star Tour last year.  He also has experience in Outlaw Late Models.

JJC Racing has tapped Cody McMahan to attempt to make his Camping World Truck Series debut in the No. 10.  Most recently, McMahan has been racing ASA Late Models for Eric McClure with a fair degree of success.

Jennifer Jo Cobb was originally supposed to race the No. 1 Chevrolet for MAKE Motorsports in Bristol.  However, Cobb announced on Tuesday that she will be stepping out of the drivers’s seat for this week only.  Clay Greenfield, who originally entered his own No. 68 for the race, will drive the No. 1 in Cobb’s place.  Based on Cobb’s statement, it seems that Greenfield will be bringing his own equipment to the No. 1 team.
