Kaulig Racing announced this week that the organization has signed Blake Koch and sponsor LeafFilter through the 2017 season in a team press release.
LeafFilter Gutter Protecting will be the primary sponsor for all 33 races in 2017 for Koch. The driver and team owner Matt Kaulig, president of LeafFilter, have worked together since the beginning of 2014, sponsoring Kaulig in XFINITY Series events as well as two Cup Series races in 2014 at Charlotte Motor Speedway and Homestead-Miami Speedway.
“I’m glad that LeafFilter will once again be back on my car and invested in my career for another season,” Koch said in a press release. “It means the world to me to have a sponsor like LeafFilter behind me. I feel like the relationship that LeafFilter and I have has become one of the best relationships in the NASCAR XFINITY Series.”
Sitting 11th in the XFINITY Series championship standings, Koch is the midst of his best season, with three top-10 finishes, most recently at Bristol Motor Speedway last month. With the cutoff race to the Chase this weekend at Chicagoland Speedway, the first year team looks to be in prime position to make the inaugural XFINITY Series Chase.
“It’s awesome that LeafFilter Gutter Protection will be back as the primary sponsor of Blake and Kaulig Racing next season,” Kaulig said. “2016 has been a great start for Kaulig Racing as well as a career-best season for Blake, but I know things will only get better from here.”
Veteran NASCAR crew chief and Kaulig Racing general manager Chris Rice will once again be calling the shots for Koch next season.
