Kyle Larson Sweeps XFINITY Practices at Homestead

Riding his patented high line at Homestead-Miami Speedway, Kyle Larson posted the quick time in final practice for the XFINITY Series.

Pushing his No. 42 Chip Ganassi Racing Chevrolet to 170.487 mph, Larson topped Chaser Daniel Suarez by 0.117 seconds.

Close in their wake was the second-highest Chaser in Erik Jones, who finished third ahead of Ryan Blaney and Brandon Jones.

In typical Homestead fashion, the session saw a number of on-track issues for the second-tier field. Scrubbing the wall late int he session, Justin Allgaier was the lowest Chaser in final practice, ending 18th quick.

Ray Black, Jr., who wraps up his rookie XFINITY campaign on Saturday, lost his No. 07 Chevrolet in Turn 4. Lucky for him, there was no damage and he finished 25th on the board.

Completing the top 10 was Aric Almirola, Darrell Wallace, Jr., Matt Tifft, Dakoda Armstrong and Ty Dillon while Chaser Elliott Sadler finished 15th fastest.
