Kyle Busch’s Interim Crew Chief Suspended After Sonoma

Troubles befell the Joe Gibbs Racing No. 18 M&M’s Toyota team for the second time in four races during post-race inspection. This time, interim crew chief Ben Beshore will sit out one Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series event due to missing lug nuts on the final stop of the Sonoma Raceway event last Sunday.

Beshore will be fined $20,000 for the infraction and no replacement has been named by the team as of yet. Kyle Busch currently sits fourth in the point standings.

During the Sonoma race weekend, the XFINITY Series had its second stand-alone event in as many weeks. Unfortunately for the No. 21 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet, crew chief Danny Stockman Jr. was fined $5,000 for loose lug nuts on the final stop of the Iowa Speedway event. Stockman will not face a suspension for the infraction.

The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR XFINITY Series will be joined by the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series next weekend for the Coke-Zero 400 at Daytona International Speedway with coverage on the NBC family of networks.

At least Beshore and Stevens can watch the race together at the JGR shop while they practice tightening their lugnuts.

They’ll probably be on the parking lot in an RV watching the race and in constant contact with the team.

They know they’re not supposed to be in contact with the team but we also know about Brian’s “rules” exceptions for certain owners and enforcement for others.

I want to see Gibbs calling the shots. That would be AWESOME. “f*ck it kyle, stop your bit*hing and just drive….spoiled piece of…”

ok – maybe a bit much – but a sight to see for sure.

Wow & wow! “Tokyo” Joe’s boys are starting to get onto equal footing with……….”Cheater” Chad. I never thought I would see that day, where ANYBODY could out-cheat “Cheater” Chad.

Maybe Gomer Kryle should get out of the car on that “money” pit stop and tighten his own lugs nuts! Being a big Truck team owner/driver, he should know how to run an…………………air gun! Maybe those two, suspended, crew chiefs could show him, in their spare-time on Thursday-Friday-Saturday, before the big race?
