Ben Rhodes Leads Second Truck Series Practice at Daytona

Frontstretch’s Truck Series content is presented by American Trucks

After turning an early lap time of 192.897 mph, Ben Rhodes led the way in second Camping World Truck Series practice at Daytona International Speedway.

The No. 41 truck finished .198 seconds ahead of Justin Haley, who finished the practice with the second quickest time (192.082 mph). 2016 Truck Series champion Johnny Sauter was third (191.388 mph) on the board with Bryan Dauzat in fourth (191.298 mph) and David Gilliland rounded out the top five (191.168 mph).

Chris Fontaine, Spencer Davis, John Hunter Nemechek, Cody Coughlin and Dalton Sargeant completed the top 10.

34 of the 36 trucks took to the track with Rhodes and Coughlin running a session-high 18 circuits. Rhodes led the way in 10-lap average at 188.095 mph.

Final practice for the NextEra Energy Resources 250 will take place at 4:35 p.m. ET on Thursday with qualifying beginning at 4:45 p.m. ET on Friday.
