NHRA Qualifying Complete for NGK Spark Plugs 4-Wide Nationals

After two days of qualifying runs, the field is set for the NGK Spark Plugs 4-Wide Nationals from zMAX Dragway in Charlotte, NC. This is the second of two 4-Wide events for the NHRA Mello Yello Series this year.

Sisters Brittany and Courtney Force held on through Saturday’s two rounds of qualifying from their Friday night runs to get the top spots in Top Fuel and Funny Car. This is the third time the sisters have won number one qualifier at the same event. Brittany secured the spot with a track record ETA of 3.689 seconds, at 318.39 mph. Courtney earned her place atop the Funny Car field with a 3.873 second run at a blistering 332.92 mph.

Drew Skillman also nabbed his number one spot in the cooler conditions on Friday night, setting the pace in Pro Stock with a 6.534 second, 210.37 mph run. LE Tonglet took the top spot in Pro Stock Motorcycle with a 6.812 second, 196.99 mph run. Tonglet was the only one to earn his top spot in Saturday qualifying.
