Matt DiBenedetto, Hartford Gold Group Partner for Sonoma

The Hartfold Gold Group and Go FAS Racing are teaming up at Sonoma Raceway.

Both announced Wednesday (June 20) that the company will adorn the team’s Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series No. 32, driven by Matt DiBenedetto, for this weekend’s race.

The Hartford Gold Group is a family business based out of California, as is the Go Fas driver of  No.32 car, Matt Dibenedetto.

“It’s always exciting to bring a new partner on board,” Mason St. Hilaire, general manager of Go FAS Racing, said in a team statement. “Like all partners, we hope to build this into a long relationship and introduce them to the loyal NASCAR fans that our team and Matt has. We’ve been very fortunate this year to continue growing our program, and it’s because of great partners like the Hartford Gold Group that we are able to do that.

“They picked a really fun race to jump on board with us in Sonoma, and we know that Matt can do a lot for us on these road courses. Hopefully we can bring them a good amount of exposure and bring home a great finish for the Hartford Gold Group No.32.”

Sanford Mann, CEO of the Hartford Gold Group, said that this is the company’s first foray into NASCAR sponsorship.

DiBenedetto is having one of his best MENCS seasons statistically in 2018. He has an average finish of 26.7 and already has three top-20 finishes after having a career high of five in 2017. In his MENCS career, DiBenedetto has run three MENCS races in Sonoma, with a best finish of 23rd in 2017
