Roush Fenway Racing has picked up a new sponsor from cyber security company Acronis, the team announced Wednesday morning (July 24).
Acronis, a global tech company with dual headquarters in Singapore and Switzerland, will be the primary sponsor both of the RFR Ford Mustangs, Ryan Newman‘s No. 6 and Ricky Stenhouse Jr‘s No. 17, in the GoBowling at The Glen at Watkins Glen International on Aug. 4 (3 p.m. ET on NBCSN).
Acronis will also be the sponsor on Newman’s car in the Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway (7:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN) on Aug. 17 and the playoff race at Dover International Speedway on Oct. 6 (2:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN).
“We are very pleased to announce our partnership with Acronis,” RFR President Steve Newmark said in a press release. “Acronis is a world leader in the fields of cyber protection and disaster recovery, and we are excited about the capabilities that the partnership brings to Roush Fenway.”
This deal is both a marketing and technology partnership that will last for three years.
Newman and Stenhouse are both in the mix for the final playoff positions during the 2019 season, as Newman is 15th in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series standings with 509 points, while Stenhouse is in 20th at 428 points.
