For Saturday night’s Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race, there are a total of 39 teams entered. As a result, no one will fail to qualify for the race.
As compared to last weekend at Michigan, there are only a few changes at the back of the grid. As announced on Friday, Rick Ware Racing has entered a new fourth team, the No. 54 for JJ Yeley with sponsorship from the thrash metal band Slayer. Unlike the scheme layout that the team posted online, the car is currently listed as a Ford.
The rest of Rick Ware Racing’s driver lineup has been shuffled as well. BJ McLeod is back in the No. 51 in place of Cody Ware. Bayley Currey, fresh off a sixth-place finish in Saturday’s Corrigan Oil 200, will be in the No. 52 with Belmont Classic Cars backing in place of Austin Theriault. Finally, Josh Bilicki will return to the No. 53 Chevrolet in place of Spencer Boyd.
At Spire Motorsports, Reed Sorenson will be back in the No. 77 Chevrolet in place of Garrett Smithley. Sorenson actually qualified the No. 77 in Michigan Friday since Smithley was at Mid-Ohio preparing for Saturday’s B&L Transport 170, but he’ll race it this weekend.
