Entry List: 2019 Sport Clips Haircuts VFW 200

The preliminary entry list for the Sports Clips Haircuts VFW 200 for the NASCAR Xfinity Series at Darlington Raceway features 39 drivers, meaning one driver will fail to qualify for the race, barring any entry list changes.

The list includes the return of Dale Earnhardt Jr. to the Xfinity Series. As previously announced, he will drive the No. 8 JR Motorsports Chevrolet, despite his plane accident earlier this month.

Two full-time Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series drivers will pull double duty at the track. Ryan Blaney will drive the No. 12 Team Penske Ford, and Denny Hamlin will drive the No. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota.

After spotting for the team at Road America, Matt Mills returns to the driver’s seat of the No. 5 BJ McLeod Motorsports Chevrolet. He will be teammates with full-time driver Vinnie Miller and Stefan Parsons, who gets the nod in the No. 99 Toyota.

Two JD Motorsports with Gary Keller drivers will run throwback paint schemes in this Labor Day weekend race. BJ McLeod will drive the No. 4 Chevrolet with a throwback scheme honoring Bobby Labonte, and Stephen Leicht will drive the No. 15 Chevrolet with a paint scheme honoring Ken Schrader. Although Landon Cassill is listed as the driver of the No. 15 Chevrolet, the team announced Leicht would be the driver. No word yet on who will drive the No. 01, Leicht’s customary ride.

The only car listed without a driver is the No. 17 Chevrolet of Rick Ware Racing. The team did not compete in the Xfinity Series most previous race at Road America.

Like I said before the Bristol race,3 cup drivers will mess up a good race, fortunately they all went out and it turned in to a good race. Hopefully the same happens at Darlington.
