NASCAR issued penalties following opening day inspection for the Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series’ second race of the season at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

ThorSport Racing’s Johnny Sauter (No. 13), Matt Craton (No. 88) and Daytona winner Grant Enfinger (No. 98) were all hit with a 10-point penalty in the championship standings along with GMS Racing’s Tyler Ankrum (No. 26).

All four of the teams affected were caught with the same violation – Sections Engine Oil Reservoir Tank and
20:20 Assembled Vehicles Overall Rules – during opening day inspection on Thursday (Feb. 20). The L1 penalty assessed also cost each team 10 owner points.

Enfinger won the season-opener at Daytona International Speedway, while his teammates Sauter and Craton finished seventh and 15th, respectively. Meanwhile, Ankrum was caught up in the fifth caution and finished 27th.

After the penalty, Enfinger narrowly retains the point lead by a single marker over Austin Hill.
