IndyCar Cancels Richmond, Toronto Races; Road America Will Host Doubleheader

The NTT IndyCar Series announced further changes to its 2020 schedule due to the COVID-19 pandemic, canceling the races at Richmond Raceway and on the streets of Toronto, the series announced Thursday, May 21.

Additionally, Road America’s original race date has been rescheduled, and the track will now host a doubleheader.

The REV Group Grand Prix at Road America was originally scheduled for June 21. Now, the course in Elkhart Lake will host the IndyCar Series for two races on July 11-12.

Due to local restrictions during this pandemic, the Indy Richmond 300, which was originally scheduled for June 27, and the Honda Indy Toronto, which was originally scheduled for July 12, have been canceled.

IndyCar will begin its season on Saturday, June 6 with the Genesys 300. All other scheduled events will proceed as planned.
