After a double dose of racing in the Irish Hills, the NASCAR Cup Series heads to the Sunshine State for the Go Bowling 235 at the Daytona International Speedway road course.
There are 39 cars entered at the series’ newest track, meaning all will qualify, barring any changes.
Reed Sorenson will pilot the No. 77 car for Spire Motorsports. Last week the team changed to No. 74 to promote the new Netflix show The Crew.
Brendan Gaughan, who was cleared to race after recovering from COVID-19, will drive the No. 62 Chevrolet for Beard Motorsports. Gaughan is one of few drivers in the field with experience on the Daytona road course, having previously competed in three Rolex 24s.
The Go Bowling 235 begins on Aug. 16 at 3 p.m. ET and will air on NBC.
